How the daily works
One theme a day, 15 games, everyone plays the same puzzle
- Today’s theme (#48): name 15 games in a last-letter chain beginning with “M”. The theme changes at midnight UTC, and it is the same for every player in the world.
- The judge checks the theme too. A real game that doesn’t fit today’s theme is a miss, exactly like a game the judge can’t find. On letter and Chain days, leading articles are skipped the way shop shelves sort them — “The Witcher” files under W. In Chain, every accepted title’s final letter becomes the starting letter for the next game.
- Streaks live in your browser. Finish a daily on consecutive days and the flame counter climbs. Miss a day and it resets — there is no makeup round.
FAQ
Daily challenge questions
- What is the daily Name 15 challenge?
- A short themed version of the Name 100 Games challenge. Every day there is one theme — for example games whose titles start with a certain letter, or games released in a certain decade — and everyone in the world gets the same one. You name 15 games that fit, out loud, as fast as you can.
- When does the theme change?
- At midnight UTC, every day. Finish a daily on consecutive days to build a streak; this browser remembers it.
- What counts as a miss?
- Naming something the judge can't match to a real game, or naming a real game that doesn't fit today's theme. On letter and Chain days the judge skips leading articles — “The Last of Us” starts with L, not T. In Chain, each accepted title's final letter sets the next starting letter; punctuation and trailing digits are ignored. If the judge can't date a game on a decade day, the guess simply isn't judged; it never counts against you.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Anyone can play the daily for free, and finished runs get a shareable result page without signing in.
