FAQ
Daily challenge questions
- What is the Name 100 Daily?
- A daily game-naming challenge with 7 surprise prompts — like games that came out on a certain console, racing games, games from a certain studio, or games with “War” in the title — and everyone in the world gets the same ones. The prompts are dealt from about two hundred, so the same one does not come back for weeks. Each prompt appears when its 20 seconds start, and you answer it with one game, out loud.
- How is it scored?
- By rarity. Every game that fits the prompt scores, and the fewer players name it in finished Name 100 runs, the more it is worth: from +10 for games almost everyone says to +100 for deep cuts. Each answer shows its score the moment it lands. A game you already used on another Daily in the last 30 days still counts, but scores +10.
- What if the voice judge mishears me?
- A mistake only costs time. The answer clock holds for up to 10 seconds per answer while you are still speaking or the judge is deciding, and if the judge hears something close to a real title it offers a one-tap “Did you mean …?” instead. Games that don't fit the prompt simply don't score, and a game can only be used once per run.
- When do the prompts change?
- At midnight UTC, every day. You get one try per day; finish on consecutive days to build a streak in this browser.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Anyone can play the daily for free, and finished runs get a shareable result page without signing in.
